 Hello, minna!

I'm going to do this entry completely in English, I hope you guys wouldn't mind. There are some sentence structures I have yet to learn, so I figured that I might as well do it in English.

I just started my second semester in Uni, and am going to learn Intermediate Japanese soon! This is where all the Kanji is going to start coming in. How did you guys manage? I know I can already read some of the basic Kanji, but I'm not so sure about writing it! I'm soo nervous!

最初に、漢字を勉強するため、学校で「Basic Kanji Book」 (vol. 1 & 2) と言う本を使いました。漢字の説明は日本語で書いてあるのに、単語の意味は英語で書いてあります。とても便利なで、お勧めです。

それで、今年から「Kanji in Context」を使い始めました。

Well, now it's time for translating my comment :D

Good evening, majjin-san!

Don't worry. I think it's okay to write here in English as well.

In school, at the beggining we used a book called "Basic Kanji Book" (vol. 1 & 2). The explications for the kanji are written in Japanese, but the meanings of vocabulary are in English. It is very useful, so I recommend it.

This year, as well, we started using "Kanji in Context".

Good luck with Japanese!

And by the way, if you want to practice it more, feel free to contact me. :)

"How did you guys manage?"

I didn't! I failed out of my major instead. o/

(hence why I can't/don't write this in nihongo)
